As Elijah finds a new place to play during a trip to the grocery store by climbing into an empty newspaper box, Cheryl jokingly asks what many harried parents have asked, “Anybody want a free kid?” She said many times she has wondered what life would be like if she hadn’t become pregnant. “I see what other friends are doing--going out to clubs and things like that, being carefree--and I miss doing things like that. But, in the end, I’m glad I’ve got Elijah. I wouldn’t give him up for anything.”
